Whitewater Connection has been running river trips for over 30 years! We’ve grown from a 3 boat operation, one river company to one of California’s largest and most reputable outfitters. Our success is due to our commitment to provide our customers with the best possible outdoor experience. Our philosophy is simple: a total dedication to quality and special attention to important details that will make your trip exceptional!
The centerpiece of our operation is our 40-acre private base camp on the banks of the South Fork of the American River. Our camp features hot showers and flush toilets, and an extensive irrigation system that keeps the camp green and lush through out the hot summer months.
Since we at Whitewater Connection recognize that our expert guides and dedicated support staff are our most valuable assets, we hire the finest personnel available both locally and from around the world. This widens our breadth of river skills and make for a very colorful company atmosphere! And just as a large number of our guests return year after year, a majority of our staff return as well. That’s because we provide a family environment that promotes the happiness and satisfaction of our staff who then share their enthusiasm with our guests.
Who can go rafting with us, you ask. Anyone from 7 to 70! From beginner to expert! That’s right, you don’t need to be an athlete, just in reasonable physical condition. No special skills are necessary. We will teach you all you’ll need to know in just a few minutes. Even non-swimmers are welcome on our class 3 river trips. For those looking for extra action and excitement, April and May offer the spring runoff at it’s peak when rivers are flowing high and fast. When the spring runoff subsides, and summer fully arrives, water flows remain fairly consistent and temperatures rise to the 90’s and 100’s, creating ideal rafting weather.
As we enter the 2018 whitewater rafting season, we will continue to maintain complete attention to detail and quality.
